About us:

Sisters Serving Sisters is a group of Christian Women from throughout San Luis Obispo County that have a heart for the homeless and have come together to serve as sisters in Christ.

The vision of Sisters Serving Sisters is to: Share the light of Christ while Serving our local homeless and to Encourage and Inspire one another to grow in the knowledge and wisdom of God.

The mission of Sisters Serving Sisters is to:

Serve our local homeless Sisters and their children through fellowship, prayer, food, and practical assistance.

…for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.' "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' Mat 25: 35- 40

Share the light of Christ by serving our local homeless with kindness, compassion, discipleship, friendship, and fun events.
Then Jesus spoke to them again saying, “I am the light of the world, he who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but have the full light of life.” John 8:12

Encourage one another in our spiritual growth and service to the poor by working together as Sisters in Christ, praying for one another and sharing God’s word.

That their hearts may be encouraged being knit together in love and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understand, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Col. 2:2-3

Inspire one another by meeting together in fellowship, serving together in Christ’s name and by working in partnership with other Christian organizations.
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another and so much more as you see the day approaching. Heb 10:24 -25

Statement of Faith:

We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired written word of God, and that this word is the foundation of our faith by which all people will be examined and judged by God.

(2 Tim. 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: ; 2 Pet. 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke moved by the Holy Ghost. ;Rom 2:2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things)

We believe that there is one true and living God, who is revealed in the Trinity as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, three distinct persons, but of one and the same divine magnificence. (Deut. 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: ;Mark 12:32 And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: )

We believe that Jesus is the Savior of the world, whom God has sent into the world as His Son to act as the “mediator” in reconciling us to God.

(John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.)

We believe that personal salvation is made available only through the grace of God and can be obtained by any man or woman through a simple act of personal repentance of one’s sins and childlike faith of believing and receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

(Eze 18:30 Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn [yourselves] from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ;John 3:16-18 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. ; Acts 20:21 Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ. ; Rom. 6:23 For the wages of sin [is] death; but the gift of God [is] eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord ; Rom. 10:9-10 ...That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. We believe that God fills His believers with the Holy Spirit, which empowers us to live for Him and to do the work of Christ.

(John 14:15-17 If you love me keep my commandments and I will pray the Father and He will give you another Helper. That He may abide with you forever. The Spirit of truth when the world can not received because it neither sees Him nor knows Him, but you know Him for He dwells with you and will be in you.)
